Review held payouts
Payouts with a high risk score wait for you. Read the reasons, then approve, reject, retry or check again.

Step by step
- Open left menu Money → Payouts (app.smartsurvafrica.com/payouts).
- Choose Held for review. Each row shows the respondent (masked), survey, amount, risk score and the reasons.
- Reasons include: answered too fast, the same answer in a row, a device seen on several phones, a profile that contradicts earlier answers, a network mismatch, a new SIM. Reasons starting “Answer quality:” (in violet) flag copy-pasted, gibberish, off-topic or machine-written answers.
- Press Approve to pay.
- Press Reject, give a Reason (kept in the audit log), then Reject payout. The respondent is not paid and the reserved funds go back to the client’s wallet.
- In Failed, press Retry. For a payout in an unknown state, press Check again: SmartSurv asks the provider instead of paying twice.
What you will see
- In flight, Paid, Failed, Rejected and All views.
- Approved and rejected decisions change the respondent’s trust score.
