Create a survey with the wizard
Describe what you want to learn. SmartSurv drafts the survey, checks the panel can deliver it, gives a quote, and launches it when paid.

Step by step
- Open Research → Surveys and press New survey (app.smartsurvafrica.com/surveys/new).
- Under Recommended, press Start on Describe what you want to learn.
- Describe: write your brief the way you would brief a colleague: who, what, where and how many. Or tap an example under Try an example. Press Draft my survey.
- Review draft: edit, add or remove questions. Screeners come first so only the right people reach the paid part. Read Why this design. Press Looks good.
- Audience: set screeners and quotas, Minimum trust (Anyone, Trusted +25%, …), completes, the reward and Paid as (Airtime or Mobile Money). Watch Feasibility: Feasible or At risk, members who match, response rate and time to fill.
- Press See the quote. Quote & pay shows respondent rewards, the SmartSurv fee and Messaging (estimate).
- Press the pay button. A secure payment page opens in a new tab (card or Mobile Money). When you have paid, the wizard moves on by itself, or press I’ve paid, check now.
- Launched: “Your survey is live”. Press Watch results.
What you will see
- “Some groups are hard to reach…” when a quota is at risk: lower that quota, widen the screeners or lower the minimum trust.
- “Not paid yet. Finish on the payment page, then try again.” if you check too early.
