Recruitment: field agents and commissions
Agents sign people up in person with their own code and earn a commission only after each recruit’s first valid survey.

Step by step
- In Panel → Recruitment, open Field agents and press New field agent.
- Enter the Name, the agent’s own phone (their own recruits on it never earn), Country, Region, Campaign (optional), Commission per recruit and Code (optional). Press Add agent.
- Give the agent their code and poster (the poster icon in their row).
- Under Commissions, Owed lists recruits who finished a first valid survey. Pay the agent by Mobile Money outside SmartSurv.
- Tick the rows (or Select all owed), press Mark paid, enter the Payment reference (the Mobile Money transaction id) and confirm.
- Check Don’t count for each rejected recruit and the reason.
What you will see
- Recruits don’t count when they use the agent’s number, share a device with other recruits, come in a run of SIM numbers, are blocked or in a blocked ring. A recruit in a ring under review is Held.
